Has anyone else still not had Covid?

No, not as far as I know, touchwood. Never had flu either, although a nurse once told me it was pretty much impossible to have reached 60 without catching it.

I’ve not tested positive for it… I had several colds and general bouts of crappiness over the last 2 years but never tested positive..
I’ve been vaccinated and felt shiz after 1 and 3… but nope I don’t think I’ve had it…

Tested positive at 1030am today just before going into work, the only difference for me between the last two weeks is that every other day I used the NHS blue and white box LFT, and today I used one from work because I had run out of the others which was in green kit box from a different manufacturer, I'm going to search when I get home to see if I have any NHS laying about, I think I do, I going to test myself again to see what happens, the positive red line on the other manufacturer was clear as day.

Touch wood avoided it so far, half the workforce has had it, as has my wife. I’ve taken vitamin D for years, whether it’s helped in some way I don’t know?
After six months of problems with her health, my 87 year old Mother has FINALLY managed to see a Doctor two weeks ago! She was sent for blood tests. We never heard anything back so I installed the NHS app and got her registered to see her medical records. Sure enough, the blood tests were shown on the app together with a note saying a text had been sent to her mobile phone! Who sends texts to an 87 year old?! Anyway checked her phone and read the text. It said that she was Vitamin D deficient and that she should go to the Chemist and get some tablets. I went, only to find there were tablets of different strengths from 10mg to 75mg. I asked the Chemist how much she should take. He said ask the Doctor. I got in touch with the Village Medical Centre (our Doctors). The receptionist didn’t know! She said ring at 08:00 this morning to get an appointment to ask the Doctor. I rang this morning and the receptionist told me to ask the Chemist about the Vitamin D dose! At this point I went off on one! The upshot is I have been told that a Doctor will ring me today. How many people may now be Vitamin D deficient due to having to stay indoors due to Covid and how bad is the GP service nowadays? (n)(n)

Most people in the UK have a vitamin D deficiency, it's very common and has been for years. Can't comment on strength you need however I use 25ug pills

My 83 year old mother has been on 10,000 Iu strength Vitamin D a day for 3 years. One capsule a day, plus Magnesium. The thing with Vitamin D though is its hard for the body to absorb it, so it really needs to be taken with Magnesium for it to do its job properly.

She's not had Covid, and barely gets coughs and colds. Three years ago, and before she went on the Vit D, she got regular colds. In fact the three members of my family who take the Vitamin D haven't had Covid either (to their knowledge), and rarely get colds. But this isn't medical advice, obviously, as what works for some may not work for others. Just telling it as it is from personal experience.

In the two years since Covid arrived I had had only one day's absence from work and was beginning to believe I was immune. Then on Friday 8th I attended a funeral and tested positive the following Tuesday.

I tested positive with the NHS kit, so that throws my possible conspiracy theories out of the window, Boring!

We have the blue ones that are delivered by NHS and green ones that my daughter gets us. The blue ones are nose and throat swabs and the instructions say you must allow 30 minutes for the result. The green ones are nose only and a 15 minute wait. The green ones are easier to use but both types tell me I'm infectious.

Yes, 10mg, equivalent to 400 international units (iu) is recommended in the uk. This is low compared to the US and the EU which recommends 20mg (800 iu). As a follow up to my previous message the Doctor rang today. He has put Mam on a ”load up” dose of two 625mg (25,000 iu)! tablets per week for 6 weeks to get the Vitamin D into her system then back to the normal daily dose. Hope it works.

Finally succumbed. Started to feel fluey on saturday and tested negative, today positive. Assume i'd feel worse without my 3 jabs......

I often wonder that. I had it in Feb and was very rough, so dread to think what it'd been like if I wasn't jabbed up!
