Halloween/Horror movie recommendations

Avoid Last Voyage of the Demeter. It's pointless and it's rubbish. Cobweb is sh*te, too. Talk to Me is probably the best new horror film I've seen this year.

Edit - The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster was pretty decent as well.

I'll get ridiculed for saying this but I don't care. Ridicule is nothing to be scared of. Adam Ant said that and he was an ant who could sing and then he got fat and went a bit nuts. I watched that Slotherhouse film a few weeks ago and I did quite enjoy it. Very silly but really good fun.

The babadook.

Not a typical scary per se, but the subtext is addiction and child abuse / neglect. So if you have kids this may be unsettling

I enjoyed the first Saw film....it was something different. Never watched another though as with any series of film I expect it's same old after the first one.
Don't really have a problem with horror films....except Nightmare on Elm Street.....Freddie's hilarious but, again, its the premise of the story.....something happening that you can't control.

My mate in the other hand is petrified, threw her nachos over me at the Showcase during 1 film. I love sending her pictures of clowns this time of year 🤣🤣🤣🤣

No mention of Midsommar yet? I love myself a pastoral horror. See also - The Wicker Man, Children of the Corn, Emmerdale scenes with Paddy.

Pretty sure I mentioned that film to you when you were in Sweden. I warned you about the pagan death cults over there because I was worried about your safety.
