- stupid goal to give away (Bola at fault)
- spence absolutely terrible
- Saville has no positive impact on us whatsoever.
- Officials turned 3 points into 0

Lot of energy expended for nothing.
 
We played well with 8 and a half men for the majority of the game, every time it went to spence or akpom we lost ball though, saville is the other half as he was only half shiite today

If they didn't go ages ago, I think they've gone after today. If Barnsley win their game in hand, we're suddenly ten points off the play-offs now.

Barnsley can’t keep winning surely - we have a slim chance but you know this league three or 4 games down the line we may be back in the mix.
 
I enjoyed the performance today, thought we looked much better than we did in midweek.

Frustrating to lose like that.

Exactly. I stopped thinking of the play offs a few weeks ago. The important thing is good performances and identity Boro can take into next season.
 
Thought we were poor upfront again. I think woeful I said on another thread. Thought Morsy apart the midfield was poor. Not sure what Saville was doing(all game really) but you cant slide in like that in the box. That said if theirs was a penna why wasn't(even though the goal should have stood). Thought Swansea were poor but with the Ref on their team you don't need to be good.

The boys done good today in spite of blatantly obvious wrong decisions.
Its looking like the spirit of the team and the bonding is building - at least for next season.
Its light-years away from the sorry state we were in at the end of last season.
Its not about individuals whom we know are moving on - its about moving onwards and upwards for next season and the one after that.

Howson didn't look like he was shouting and he also sees Bola
Spence does need to improve and I think he will. Mendez-Laing offers more going forward.
Saville looks like a decent championship midfielder to me.
 
Spence is like loose change in your pocket when you need a five pound note.
Johnny is like the bloke in the pub who buys you another just as you were leaving.
Sav is the proud Dad who wants to show you his apps and gadgets on his iphone.
The Gaffa is the bloke who phones up the boss from the pub, to ask her to charge up the E-bike ready for tomorrows ride - in case he gets home late and forgets!!!
Morsy is the bloke who tells you you`re having another, then insists you pay for the round.
Betts offers to carry the tray of drinks, but drops the lot and blames the bar tender for not wiping the tray.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on Saville. He can make a living in the champo, but’ll never make a difference
