Gold Season Card Holders

It's great that MFC have a willingness to communicate with you Mark, but their communication with most fans throughout this has been atrocious.

Communication from the club was one of the points we raised with them. They took the feedback on board. So let’s see.

Alright fellas, first time moving to this new board, and just been reading through this entire thread.

Apologies if I've missed a post, but has there been any answer regarding what's going to happen to those of us that haven't yet renewed, but were 100% going to renew once we were told how things would be working? Me and my old man were going to renew, but he was classed in the vulnerable category, so we were holding on. Been waiting for any info to come out, but haven't seen a thing!

Today’s announcement about streaming and it being connected to season tickets once again raises the issue of people who have been unable to renew. The club once again are not putting out adequate communications. They can talk a good game to fan reps but they’re not actually doing anywhere near enough to inform the fans as a whole and despite this being pointed out to them they’ve still not done anywhere close to enough.

This is why IMO the club is incredibly poorly run from top to bottom.

Nope no news. The club have made various promises and commitments to people like Rob but nothing publicly to fans as a whole. It is a shambles.

Now that we have the news on the national streaming agreements we should soon get word from the club.
But from what we understand there will be no panic measures now and people will be given enough time and enough information to make decisions.

Rob - before they announced the streaming given that it has a qualification on it of being free for a season card holder they should have sorted out the situation on season cards FIRST!

The club have been waiting on clarity on various things before communicating their full plan. The streaming was one of those things.
They wont announce anything on tickets until they know how many tickets will be available following the stadium configuration that they are working through.

As Rob mentions, I cant see the wait being much longer.

Then why release info on streaming when access for many is contingent on a season card they cannot renew?!

So is the streaming free for season ticket holders and £10 per match for non season ticket holders???

Correct.
But season ticket holders will also have to pay £10 for weekend away matches and cup matches.

Though it's not really free given the season tickets costs.

"In addition, Season Card holders will, under the newly agreed framework, be provided access to all HOME GAMES, subject to the agreement of the club where the supporter holds a season ticket. In the Championship access to AWAY MIDWEEK matches will also be available as part of the season ticket package if clubs choose to offer it. "

So the guys left hanging as it were and didn’t make the cut for renewing their season tickets will be hit with a double whammy by being charged £10 per match for streaming the games???

No one knows because the club are clues when it comes to communicating with the fans.

Lord knows I'll have a dig at the Boro when its deserved but its an EFL statement that's been put out. It maybe that the club are negotiating to try and do something different or looking at ways of subsidising it or making it available to everyone who had a season ticket last year. They may not be in a position to say anything yet.

Of course they may just be their useless clueless selves but lets wait a few days and see?

I'm sure Rob will tell us as soon as someone in the ticket office tells him :)

How long should we wait then? Rob was told by someone weeks ago about not needing to renew to maintain their GC benefits and status etc but that still hasn't been publicly announced by the club.

Whether or not the deal is an EFL deal the club are choosing to promote it and say it's included for SC customers when they are aware thousands cannot renew so it's up to them to sort that BEFORE they themselves publicly announce the streaming information on their website.

I suspect every EFL club will have had that statement on their own web sites - part of the deal. And if they hadn't put it online the conspiracy theorists would have been out in force asking why not.

Clearly we have to wait as long as it takes them to finalise what ever arrangements are being put in place which as has been clearly explained by the Supporters Club chairman is no easy task. That communication will obviously include details about any benefits that last seasons ticket holders will be granted. Or not granted.

I agree MFC are not great at communicating with the fans but they will make one all encompassing statement rather than just put it out in dribs and drabs.

@Mark_MSF - did the club give any indication of time scale?

@rob_fmttm - what made you say "expect an announcement soon"?

We understand they are working on a statement.
There are a lot of elements here and it is important that all the facts are put across without any errors.
But we have an undertaking that there will be communication very soon and also that people will be given enough time to make whatever decisions they choose to make.
