Goalscrounger's 30 Day Music Challenge - Day 8 - Monday 13th April - A Song About A Place In The USA

Neil Young - Ohio

One of the greatest protest songs ever written. For the young'uns it documents The Kent State shootings which were the shootings of May 4, 1970, of unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, during a mass protest against the bombing in neutral Cambodia by United States military forces. Still heart wrenching to hear. This is probably the best version (Though I like the version recorded by The Isley Brothers that segues into Machine Gun by Hendrix)

Again I'll keep the Britpop era going and I think somebody from the old board worked on the video and for that I thank you!!!

Will Try to restrict myself to one but its going to be impossible I think. Head is buzzing with tunes now. Was going to post Hackensack right after your first post but did not hit the "post reply" button. So will go with this one about MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village , New York. I take it you can have place names and its not restricted to cities. Think you will like this Goalscrounger if you don't already know it.
