Gladiators

I thought the bit with the bridge and the balls where the gladiators were swinging across was a bit of a rubbish addition, but my kids loved it all like i was hoping they would

Was for the men only. Probably easier to just have both do the same thing. I bet it was rock hard too.

Yeah it was definitely harder than it looked… you’d see their legs pedalling thin air at the same time! Must be a bit like trying to rub your head and pat your stomach 😂

Remember when a contestant won a point it would be a national outrage. These contestants was smashing it.

Im sure on the eliminator, the overhead ladders bit used to be a kind of hand cycling thing… why have they sacked that off?

It was we watched the very 1st episode not long after the last round has been modified quite abit there was 2 cargo nets in the original the 1st of which they slid down the hell slide from light water valley. There was also a spinning tube they used to run across and it was just a straight run up the travelator, there was no balance thing to negotiate first. It also looks steeper and longer on the original

The eliminator was overall shorter - but that is partly because Sheffield arena will be smaller than NEC.

Genuinely enjoyed that this evening - been a while since I've watched BBC on a Saturday evening.
Original Gladiators wasn't filmed at the NEC, it was filmed at the NIA (National Indoor Arena.)

I went there for a gig in the early 00s, it's F***ing huge

A lad I know ' auditioned ' to be on the before this series as a contestant. He was a pro MMA fighter and stupidly fit.
He got no where near the fitness test requirements .
Boring , but my only gladiator input 😂
