Great TT from GT. third at the moment. Some good TTers already finished behind him like Dennis and Campernaerts. Tricky windy conditions in Sicily.

If anybody has Miguel Angel Lopez they might be rueing that decision. He has sadly crashed and out of the race.

Oh ffs. Superman crashes out so I'm down to 8 even before the end of stage 1.
Dr Doof's squad looks good today. I had thought about Almeida but swapped him out late on. Ditto Tobias Foss.

Top ten has an unfamiliar feel. Great start by GT with all his GC rivals some seconds down.
Lopez looked like he was moving from the tempo bars onto the main to change gear and then hit a bump. No chance to do anything about it when he comes completely off the bars and just had to accept the impact. Anybody seen anything on his injuries? He went to hospital in an ambulance.
Yates did well to limit losses. I know the last week is hard but you would expect Thomas to take similar time in each of the TTs, so there is a lot of work to be done by the other contenders in the mountains.
Interesting stage with people sacrificing the total time for KOM points and others going all in for the intermediate sprint. Very rare occasion that being a big guy is a benefit with the downhill. With the spacing of the TTs it should make the mountains more exciting, as long as they aren’t cut short. Snow laid on the Stelvio already!

Just watchedthe highlights and they said Ganna was using a 60 x 11! Some of us struggle with a 52 x 13.

I don't think I've gone above a 42 for the last 30 years. Always was a 'twiddler' even in my club days.
Wrong thread, I know, but no-one else has Sagan in the velogames league. That's amazing.

I usually have Sagan in my team, hopefully I won't be regretting not including him this time.

If Alaphilippe isn't demoted then he should be. Hirschi or Pogacar would have won without that switch.

No question Alaphilippe robbed Hirschl of his first Monument in my mind.
