Saying he loves us is very different to saying he's signing for us.

TLF loved us, but that didn't stop him leaving to play in a higher division. It's willful misunderstanding to spin that as him saying he's staying

My impression of the Giles saga was that we agreed a deal with him verbally, thought it was a done deal, then Luton offered him more money and he tried to renegotiate with us. We thought he he was breaking his word and walked away. He was ***ed with us as he still wanted to sign for us but didn't think he was being unreasonable in trying to squeeze us for more money than we had already agreed. He then signed for Luton as that was the only contract left on the table.

I'm not trying to spin anything.
During June and early July people thought he was coming back.
Then the rumour of Luton interest was reported.
There were a few days of will he / won't he?
