Getting old

I wake up more tired than I went to sleep no matter what time I go to sleep.
I wear running trainers as they have comforting cushioning and not to go for a run.
I saw a birthday card with my age on the other say whilst having a clear out and thought 'who's is that' as I forgot how old I was last birthday. 👴🏻

More hair growing from your ears and nose than on your head 😳
When you fart and don't realise , and can't smell it but everyone else can 🙄

I'm fighting it. I'm 55 but still a keen runner and plotting to retire early enough to do stuff while I can enjoy them.
Age is largely in our heads.

I'm still learning stuff and putting myself outside my comfort zone. It's funny, mostly. 😁

Had two cancer scares in the last five years. I'm fine. But, lesson learnt really.

I think that I was born old. I'm not a fan of still having a full head of dark hair and having a completely grey beard though. I took the beard off the other day and that's made me look a bit younger.
Do you wear a beard to hide your bumface? Or is it part of the bumface?

I came across it whilst looking for Tony Husband's cartoon exhibition and thought I would share it. I've also put it on the John Lydon thread, seems relevant for both threads and I am sure we all have been impacted by Dementia/Alzheimers at some time.
Jesus Norman, that just made me cry,im on the journey with my dad and that really resonated.

I've seen some rubbish and seen some wonderful stuff too

The man who always stands out for me is Cloughy. The younger supporters missed something special there. I always explain it as "I used to go on a Saturday afternoon to see how many he was going to score, not if he was going to score"

Just think about that

40 goals a season several seasons in a row .................. that's special
Not forgetting Big Alan Peacock his Partner up front, who also contributed 20 plus goals a Season. 60 plus between them. What a Partnership.
Big Al is STILL in attendance, even now.

Had the trimmer going for a few years now. The barber also has to do my eyebrows. Just the way it is, although some mates have just given up by 50 and have hairy ears, noses and brows
Though 20-something lads get their eyebrows done too as part of their 40 step grooming routine.
