Geordies hosting Saudi national team

There's a link in this thread to a NUFC supporters group against the ownership! So they do exist.

I've not met any in the wild though.
I've read a few posts from this group on twitter/X, and fair play to them they have stuck to their guns and seriously questioned/exposed the Saudi regime.....and thus Newcastle owners.

But for every post they put up, the level of sycophantic drivel from desperate Geordies was stomach churning. The amount of "so what, who cares" posts was off the scale.

And while we are on the subject, don't get me started on Sky and the way they have completely glossed over the tyranny of the Saudi regime and have wedged themselves firmly up Newcastle's ar*e very similar to the mid 90s.

The level of hypocrisy is off the scale.

The good thing about this version of Newcastle as opposed to the 90s and early naughties version is that I was very concerned that they were going to start being successful under their own steam. That would have hurt.

This version is like a theme park fake version of a football team so anything they win doesn't count.

Sky have never cared about anything except for making money.

All of them, Sky, the premier League, Shearer, most Newcastle fans, should be thoroughly ashamed at how easily their ethics have been bought. I don't think history will be kind.

Christ, if you're that desperate for the supposed reflected glory of following a side that wins trophies just become a Real Madrid fan instead or something.

As embarrassing as being a glory supporter bandwagoner is, it's infinitely less shameful than making excuses (or even idolising) murderous human rights abusers.

100% this. Anything they "achieve" now is blood soaked and tainted.

And fans of other clubs won't let them forget it. Couldn't care less if they did the treble now.

This period in Newcastle's history will one day be akin to Lance Armstrong's TDF record.

Sky were happily promoting the Saudi League on their programmes from the second Ronaldo signed for them, they've always been willing to follow the money.

TalkSport are the same, they mocked and deried LIV until they realised it was serious (or they received some backhanders) and immediately switched to promoting it.

It might help people to understand what these people are really like.
Yes, I know the intention but there should maybe be a warning in the thread title or something.
There are all sorts of graphic pictures about all sorts of things out there. Even if they could be used to educate people I'm not sure a football forum is the most appropriate place to put them.
There is surely a line as to what is acceptable. Dead bodies hanging from cranes must be close to it?

To be fair, I don't think we need to overeeact, it isn't a big problem on the site as far as I can tell. But the first picture is maybe a bit much. Particularly for us sensitive souls 😞 The other two are shocking in their context but not really graphic.

This could also possibly be a (dodgy) way for NUFC to ensure they adhere to Financial Fair Play. The Saudi's will probably pay (over the top) millions to play twice at Sid James's and it will just go down as 'income' to cover the overspending at the club.

That would definitely rub salt in the wounds.

The seven men were children under the age of 18, including one who was 12 years old, at the time of the alleged crimes. They were also denied legal representation throughout their pre-trial detention. Their death sentences were upheld by an appeals court between March 2022 and March 2023. Six of them were sentenced on terrorism-related charges, the seventh for armed robbery and murder, after unfair trials marred by torture-tainted confessions.
