I don’t know if they would boo because I wasn’t in a stadium with them at the time it happened, But they are against the knee and openly criticise it verbally and publicly . What’s the difference?
I don't understand the booing either. I would NEVER take the knee but wouldn't boo. If you don't agree with it just go to the concourse or turn your back on it - or matbe just STFUThis is what I can't get my head around, if you don't like them taking the knee - no idea why you would by the way - just keep quiet.
Actively booing it is what makes people look racist.
Racial equality? Boooooo. Seems crazy
Totally agree with you mate and haven’t read the whole thread - only explanation as devil’s advocate is annoyance at politics intruding on sport, which many feel should be a politics-free zone.I am at a total loss as to why anyone would boo it?
Until anyone can give me a reasonable explanation then my opinion is that anyone who boos players taking the knee is a peice of racist scum.
I can see fights breaking out over this when fans are back in the ground, I'm certainly calling out anyone near me who's booing it.
Where do they boo? Some do yes.

I’ve never been to an England game but have spent plenty of time with the Barmy Army.Agree with this, I've only ever been to a handful of England games and at every one there were a group of racist bigots nearby chanting their filth. That game V Turkey at the Stadium of Light in 2003 was some of the worst behaviour of that type I've ever had the misfortune to witness.
My point is that people saying people opposing the gesture is racist, But that’s a big generalisation surely.
not taking the knee is also not agreeing with it in most cases, Some players have spoken out about it, so is that racist too?
the school of thought on here is if you opposite it, you are racist. Completely ignoring any other potential factors.
Did the many republicans in the ground boo the national anthem, or did they simply ignore it as usual?
Where do they boo?
Where do they boo?
It's just a tenuous tactic. That if somehow every black person doesn't take the knee then somehow no player everyone should have carte blanche to booWhy bring that in to it? Nobody on the thread has accused Britt or any other player/club deciding not to do taking a knee before matches of being racist.
But you do get that many do and that most black people do not boo it, in fact I don't know a single black person that boos itNot everybody that dislikes the gesture of taking a knee dislikes it because they don’t believe in racial equality
Oh mate... the position isn’t we take everything you say figuratively unless you explicitly state you’re talking literally. That’s not how this works.sorry, I meant some opposite it verbally, I never initially said the they literally boo because I haven’t been in environment with them where they would specifically boo, such as a stadium.
Show me literally I said they literally boo it in my initial posts.. you cant.
I said they they do openly criticise these gestures. That may be in conversation on social media or whatever. So what’s the difference? Verbally criticising it or booing, both are an act of opposing something anyway.
absolutely this it is weaponsied by the far right....it's divide and conquer of the working classes and the stupid fall for it every time.Everytime their is a "crisis" - unemployment / homelessness / poverty / crime / bankers crash - out comes racism from the gutter.
do they boo it? Honestly, we both know that answerAt the end of the day it’s also openly criticised by a lot of black people who don’t like it, I could happily introduce you to some in my family and friends circle, Are they ignorant, racist or apologising for racism too?
But you do get that many do and that most black people do not boo it, in fact I don't know a single black person that boos it
