I wonder why ? It's like drinking water....

Every so often a lager comes along that just gets the branding right. It tastes identical to most other 4.6% continental lagers.

I agree with you, it's got a reputation as a quality product with a fancy glass, you can't really buy it in bulk at supermarkets unless you buy it in bottles and even then it's at a premium price point even though it's mass produced in the UK

I’m one of those IPA *******, the only time I’ve ever drank Fosters is when there’s been literally no alternative (I.E Carling).

Well I like a light, ice cold lager on a warm day, as do a lot of people so stop being a booze snob.... Can't think of anything worse that a treacle thick real ale in balmy weather...

If so I lived there for a little while. Went into Nellies with £40 first day I moved in and couldn’t walk home, girlfriend had to pick me up.

Many years since I’ve drank the likes of Carling / Fosters etc. absolutely horrid stuff. My father in law loves Carling but he’s proper old school. He hates the Micro Bars etc. as “all the beer is chite”.

Where possible I tend to stick to Real Ales or IPA’s. If a place doesn’t stock a good selection, I’ll tend to opt for something like Morretti / San Miguel but they aren’t that much better.

I periodically change my tastes though where I’ll go through phases of drinking Guiness / Cider (more in the summer for Cider).
