Was just saying to my mate the other day that not many pubs seem to have it on tap any more.

Every so often a lager comes along that just gets the branding right. It tastes identical to most other 4.6% continental lagers.
I agree with you, it's got a reputation as a quality product with a fancy glass, you can't really buy it in bulk at supermarkets unless you buy it in bottles and even then it's at a premium price point even though it's mass produced in the UK šŸ‘

And if you drink too much of it, you might require a hoperation!

Is your name based after the town just outside of Hull?

If so I lived there for a little while. Went into Nellies with Ā£40 first day I moved in and couldnā€™t walk home, girlfriend had to pick me up.

Iā€™d rather drink Oranjeboom stubbies! šŸ˜†

Many years since Iā€™ve drank the likes of Carling / Fosters etc. absolutely horrid stuff. My father in law loves Carling but heā€™s proper old school. He hates the Micro Bars etc. as ā€œall the beer is chiteā€.

Where possible I tend to stick to Real Ales or IPAā€™s. If a place doesnā€™t stock a good selection, Iā€™ll tend to opt for something like Morretti / San Miguel but they arenā€™t that much better.

I periodically change my tastes though where Iā€™ll go through phases of drinking Guiness / Cider (more in the summer for Cider).
