Morrisons Lager and Morrisons Bitter?Nah this was like supermarket own brand or something. I'm 95% sure there was a lager and a bitter.
I’ve spent a lot of time in the Lincs Wolds (if that’s what you mean) and agree they are very much a hidden gem. Don’t seem to attract as much interest as Lakes/Cotswolds or even Peaks/Moors/Dales. Can’t really work out why.It is indeed Scrug. Not a bad place to live to be fair. A1079 can be a bit tedious at times but other than that it’s fine. Good rail links to Brid, Scarbados, London and Sheffield. And the Wolds are a hidden gem.
A pretty racecourse, and historic Minster, what more could you ask for!
I liked a nice tinny of VB or Tooheys New when I was in Australia.Controversial opinion but… I actually prefer a lager closer to 4%. 4.4% is the sweet spot but also thoroughly enjoy a day on the mid strengths around 3.7%. Like the taste and prefer quantity over quality, your generic Peroni at 5% is too strong for me.
Madri is not remotely Spanish. Rebranded Carling with no connection to Spain, but fantastic branding. Your real Spanish lagers are Estrella, Mahou and Cruzcampo. Even San Miguel is similar to Fosters, which is drunk literally nowhere in Australia (you can get Castlemaine XXXX in Aus but it’s niche and only really found in Queensland, everyone drinks Furphy or Carlton Draught.)
Isn't Madri a Coors brand? That’s because it’s just re branded carling, albeit the recipe they used in the 80s rather than the weaker modern version.
Both mate, East Yorkshire and Lincs wolds.I’ve spent a lot of time in the Lincs Wolds (if that’s what you mean) and agree they are very much a hidden gem. Don’t seem to attract as much interest as Lakes/Cotswolds or even Peaks/Moors/Dales. Can’t really work out why.
That’s what cider is for.Well I like a light, ice cold lager on a warm day, as do a lot of people so stop being a booze snob.... Can't think of anything worse that a treacle thick real ale in balmy weather...
Thanks
Lambic (especially a gueze) is the drink of the gods.I'm an IPA/real ale man myself. The only thing I won't touch in that line are the cloudy craft ales. Bleurgh!
Yeah, not now though. The Spanish one split off years ago.
Molson Coors bought a brewery in Spain and used it to produce their rebranded/improved replacement for Carling. Sell it is a 'Madrid beer' and the people lap it up. It has no history whatsoever in Spain and if it is in on sale there at any point it will purely be for British tourists.Isn't Madri a Coors brand?
It's true its got absolutely no connection to Spain whatsoever

Been reduced months. To do with tax the brewer has to pay. Less tax if lower ABV. No reduced prices funnily enough. It's fizzy **** water anyway.Breaking News, Noticed this has now been reduced from 4% to 3.7%
I wonder why ? It's like drinking water....
Just thought I'd let yoos know
