Strangely it features prominently and seems very popular outside the UK .Wow how far has this sport fallen, the result is not even on the BBC Sport front page (unless I’m just missing it).
I can see who won the Irish Derby and something to do with motorbikes but nothing on F1
RB have never stopped Perez challenging Verstappen, he’s just not able to. They are worlds apart in terms of abilityIts become like the Schmacher era where none of the no.2 drivers were allowed to challenge him and even had to let Schmacher past if they dared to be in a leading position
Have things never been the same since the Prost/Senna days when each one would do the upmost to beat the other team mate even take the other one out if required?

I echo this.I blame that absolute spanner of a race director that decided he was gonna gift a title to Verstappen. Ruined the integrity of the sport for me. I've checked out largely since then
Webber was also nowhere near good enough to beat Vettel. All teams have to prioritise drivers but Perez can’t have any complaints. In a straight fight he is regularly 30 seconds behind Max. If he was anywhere near his level I’m sure he could take the fight to him, but he isn’t and won’t ever beRemember Mark Webber's comment 'not bad for a no.2 driver' when he was Vettel's team mate
Merc, Ferrari and RB have had many seasons where they have been just as far ahead as what they current RB team is. It’s just part of the sport, they got the rule change right and the rest are playing catch up. The races are still interesting enough from second place downI'm very much in the "Abu Dhabi 2021 killed F1 as a serious sport" camp. Since then, it's been a procession for Red Bull with a car that is probably the most dominant ever.
Every race is pretty much a foregone conclusion and the Championship even more so. It's not the fact that Max will inevitably be champion this year and next that bothers me, its the fact that there will be no twists and turns along the way. I watch sport for the drama, but F1 is now bereft of any.

Now is not exactly a golden era for touring car racing either - unfortunately.Thirty odd years ago, I lost interest in F1 for being too boring and started following the touring cars - exciting racing and, when you go to the circuit, you can actually get up close to the cars and drivers. They encouraged you to visit the garages.
There’s a strong argument that if the sport was any good, it wouldn’t be free to air
Ok. Hmm. So World Cup and European Cup football is not any good. Neither is 6N rugby, Premiership rugby, or Wimbledon Tennis, or the Grand National, or the FA cup final, or the Olympics, or the World Championship athletics or Diamond league... or...There’s a strong argument that if the sport was any good, it wouldn’t be free to air
