Folarin Balogun

So Hel basically be treat as our number one striker which I can see happen pretty quick based on potential goal return 😎👍
No 1 striker? Really? Wow. He’s only played 2 senior games in his career so far and one of them was a defeat to Brentford. That’s some trust placed in him. Don’t know why but I have no grounds for feeling excited except for Martyn Keown’s comparison to Ian Wright. So I’ve high hopes.

Great to have another option but hopefully he will get his place in the team on merit, and Watmore or Sporar or even Aaron Connolly are not pushed out because we have to play him, but if we can get the strikers to click the second half of the season is going to be fun !

Well Chris wilder has been after him for a long time and rates him very highly so that in itself gives me some reason to be excited. He is a man that clearly knows what he wants his team to do and sees this lad as the perfect fit.

If we not thinking along those lines then we’d be should of been looking someone else .
I’m hoping For a. Bamford kind of return

No 1 striker? Surely not.

I think the no.1 striker will be the one that does the business every week, it's that simple. CW doesn't strike me as a type of manager who gives preferential treatment and it's all down to producing the goods, within the system he wants to play.

We've got 4 very good options for two places in the team now, for the first time in a very long time (such a long time in fact I can't remember how long its been).

Lets hope his attitude is spot on...no big time charlie stuff. Been too many 'wonderkids' on 30 or 40k and think theyve made it without playing in the first team regularly.

Wasn't Niall Quinn a young kid from Arsenal? He was quite good at that kind of thing.
So was Kevin Campbell.
And Frank Stapleton
So was Andy Cole. But different era from now in terms of money, talent pool and all sorts else.

Like I say hope he comes good but I’d much prefer tried and tested, a Dwight Gayle type.

If we are paying £6k/week for him it seems a gamble worth taking.

I assume he's not one of our 25 player allowance neither.

It was more a facetious reaction to your odd 'young kid from Arsenal' comment which suggested that for some reason young kids from Arsenal can't hold the ball up. Which Andy Cole couldn't BTW.
