More for the impact to the economy and my own purse if I have to self isolate
I'm only somewhat scared because I can see it fcuking up my summer.
Somewhat scared. Strikes me as it will be everywhere before long (if it's not already, given that it possibly takes up to nearly a month to show itself in some cases), and whilst I at 44 should be okay when and if I get it, both my parents are in their eighties and not necessarily in good health anyway.
For myself? Not in the slightest bit scared, I'll be fine.
But I know plenty of older people who'd be at real risk if it popped up on Teesside and spread, so I'm concerned in that regard.
Jesus, the weather is catching it now. We are all doomed.
Actually in reality I reckon it'll be a bit rough to begin with, there are bound to be a lot more cases but then it may die down. I can't see it lasting out the summer.
Dan: Ironic quote when you consider how that particular play ended!
Oh we won’t get a vaccine and it will spread but it’s only slightly deadlier than the flu we get every year. We don’t shut down sporting events and ground flights every year because it’s flu season, or Norovirus season which although FAR less deadly is far more infectious. That's the issue, SmallTown. Such viruses devastate in weeks/months, with no chance of vaccine in such a time period.
I'm very concerned, not as much for myself but with a loved one in remission and a very fragile immune system which has not yet recovered - it could be deadly.
