Battered ones are still acceptable, but fish finger of choice has to be breaded.

Stick them in a ciabatta with some chips and peas. Almost nouvelle cuisine

Back in the day I used to have a meal called fishfinger mountain which was a load of oven chips piled onto a plate with a 6 pack of battered fishfingers. Then covered in a tin of baked beans.

I won't make any apologies of liking the battered ones. Breadcrumbs are absolutely fine; it just felt like an upgrade.

Anyway, regardless, white bread with salad cream please.
