Am sure being hit with a pool ball would hurt a lot, but the force he hit him square in the face with that pool cue is awful and way worse. Not sure anyone deserves that tbh, really brave of him with a heavy stick in his hands. Nobody's getting up quickly after that.

No. It probably wouldn't. But you can see how pre-meditated the whack with the cue is. He's stood back, calm and changes his grip on the cue before he hits him. He was under no or little threat as he wasn't directly involved from what is shown.
