Been on a kick of late as far as watching a ton of sci-fi/fantasy movies. So just curious, and sure hard for some, but what are your top 5 of all time?

I will go with:

1-Blade Runner
2-Lord of the Rings:The Return of the King
3-Jason and the Argonauts
4-Pan's Labyrinth
5-12 Monkeys

Come now friend, which Star Wars?;)

Predator barely missed my top 5, its fantastic. People can say what they want about Arnold, but his movies have always kept me entertained.
Well I suppose you’re meant to stay Empire Strikes Back?

I think I like New Hope and Return of the Jedi just as much though. I even don’t mind the prequels and the sequels!

Yeah thats a good one. And I am the same.

Even though Attack of the Clones and Phantom Menace were not as good as the original ones, I did not think they were as awful as a lot of people did either.

In no particular order
Star Wars - a new hope
Earth vs the flying saucers
It came from beneath the sea
The day the earth stood still - 1950’s one
The magnetic monster

Not a movie but kind of adjacent I'd put death stranding alongside 2001 and bladerunner. The opening sequence is just stunning. I've probably watched it 50 times.

Star Wars - A New Hope
Terminator 2 Judgement Day
Back to The Future Part 2
Predator
Independence Day

My fav all time movie quote is from Predator. Classic Arnie.

T2 is a classic. There is no fate but what we make.

Interstellar as mentioned. It’s a brilliant Nolan film.

12 Monkeys the the OP mentions. I watched that loads and loved the idea of it.

The Matrix (first one not the others that follow).

Controversially maybe, but Ive always preferred the Fellowship of the Ring out of the LOTRs trilogy.

The Princess Bride

The Matrix

Guardians of the Galaxy

And yeah, Empire Strikes back is the better film. But the kid in me always preferred Return of the Jedi. The Jabbas palace sequence, Ewoks, speeder bike chase, duel on the death star, "it's a trap"...... It's more fun.

So I'm going for that one.
