I loved the back to the future movies. Proper class entertainment.

Best Sci fi is the matrix though.

I'd also add Silent Running, a 70's Sci-Fi with an eco theme, starring Bruce Dern and way ahead of it's time.

Edit; the director for this was behind 2001, later adopted by Speilberg and some iconic scenes in other Sci-Fi, such as Blade Runner.

Yes, they throw in some supernatural gobbledegook, but that does doesn't change the actual theme.

Galaxy Quest was only on TV the other night and I watched the whole film. It's worth it just for Sigourney Weaver.

And yeah, the new Dune films are great. Don't completely buy Chamolet as Paul Atriedes/Muad' Dib but the cinematography is immense.
