EU slaps vaccine export ban rules on UK

Eurocrats announced the UK has been left off a list of 92 countries exempt from the blocking procedure which includes almost every other nation that's near the bloc.

Lot of anger in Northern Ireland too as the EU have triggered Article 16 of the NI Protocol thus essentially creating a hard border.

They're in the wrong though, so it's only going to strengthen anti-EU feeling.
Which is a shame.
Yup.

Not that they do or should care as such but this doesn't help the case for us working closely together.

That's not to say that there hasn't been stupidness on our side (recognition of EU diplomats last week springs to mind) but this is disappointing.

Yes, massively in the wrong. But as I've made the point a number of times across multiple threads - that doesn't really change a great deal. They are the big boys, we still live in their back yard and we'll have to learn to play by their rules. There's nobody to run to to say they haven't been playing fair, as some on here imagine there is.

Under no circumstances would they allow a hard border in Ireland. 1 month late they implement a hard border in Ireland. Only a bunch of desperate charlatans would feel the need to stoop to such a level to try and fix their ineptitude. I now know for certain that I made the correct choice back in June 2016

Unbelievable. Showing their true colours now.

No hard border in Ireland unless it suits their agenda.

There’s no way they can come out of this with any credibility.
