EU slaps vaccine export ban rules on UK

Enjoying it. When the UK threatened to breach international law they crossed a line.

There was bound to be some payback at some point.

I am just surprised it has come so quickly.

All down to these strange times.
Apart from the UK didn't actually break the law.

I am thinking of breaking into Fort Knox, but there again.

The EC is showing why the British Electorate never trusted it. Supported I may add by most of the European press.

Once the Internal Market Bill nonsense started I’m afraid this was inevitable. The UK showed it’s hand there and it was only a matter of time before the EU got an opportunity to kick back

Today is probably the day I've least regretted the outcome of the referendum, it's a shameful situation.

I expect there will be backpeddling with the outrage in Ireland and Northern Ireland, but it's a fault line exposed.

The Europeans have to answer to their voters who are rioting in streets of some member states.

Even the perception of making a mess of the vaccination roll out is enough to lose them swathes of votes

Theres echoes of Galtieri attacking the British to deflect the political/economical competence

Ho, ho, ho.

The BBC report I read quotes the EC and the Article 16 matter, yet Euronews on Twitter appear to be suggesting it's not actually happened.

Yeah, it's sounding like they've reversed their decision, after the backlash.

Ho, ho, ho.
This guy spent all last year gloating at the UK for its mismanagement of covid, constantly comparing the UK to Spain.

Which is fine because most of the flak was deserved and not just form foreigners but mostly from Brits.

But when Spain started to have problems it put pay to his crowing and he disappeared, but now when something in the UK is going right he's back, crowing because the EU are attempting to shaft us.

The relationship we had with EU pre-Brexit was never as bad as it could potentially end up being, at least we all cooperated and the UK was in a position of influence. All very sad and so avoidable.

It is.
Which is why this is so disappointing from the EU.

Let's not forget that this is being done because of a dispute with a private company, not because of actions from the UK government.

Ho, ho, ho.

The performance on vaccinations is good. Well done to the UK (not Johnson).

Just please do not let the UK government divert people from remembering all of the mistakes of the last year in the UK.

I wouldn’t mind he’s got about five different Spanish style usernames!
