Enzo Le Fee

I don’t think he was particularly outstanding. Showed some great skill but he is hardly the only player to do that.

He also doesn’t get an assist for the own goal so it’s not him creating either.

He was a cut above anyone on the pitch unfortunately. Our players, and especially Ayling, couldn’t get near him. I do think tactically we got it wrong against him though, he even called out himself that Ayling was coming tight against him which made it easier for him to just continually knock it past him and run. It probably would have been better to just stand off him and hopefully pushed him to recycle possession. I’m not certain that it would have been much better mind.

Who was playing right mid again, was it Whittaker?

Ayling has been left completely exposed there. le fee is dropping way off him & you'd hope the RM would be dropping back in to cover but Ayling is isolated.
When Ayling gets tight & stands him up, no one tracks the overlapping FB.
There was no plan.
Nothing

He looked good and had some really good touches, but his performance is being overstated because Ayling was absolutely dreadful - rushed in each time and Le Fee knew to just flick it round him.

Similar to the Payet goal V us where our entire defence fell over.

Poor mans Mustapha Carayol

Seriously though, best player on the pitch, well thats what Luke Ayling said anyway.

He’s a really good player.
The top line includes Roberts, who they have made into a far better play than he was for us and Isadore who has pace galore.

Just been with my Mackem mate and he also said it was strange to see us double up on Roberts and give Le Fee the freedom of the park.

Good defences are going to struggle with them three btw, so we have zilch chance.
