England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 v 🇩🇪 Germany

They'll get their chance to beat England, Germany (like France and Portugal) have already gone.

I can understand people saying it wasn't a great game but it was enthralling. Maybe because it was England against a team who normally wallop us. Very enjoyable
Sorry I meant the top club teams would beat England and Germany.
I was a bit dire at times but as you say nonetheless enthralling mainly because of the history.

sorry, don't believe you because you would be mentioning your badges and county FAs say you have to have at least level 1 to run sessions.
For what it's worth, I have FA level 1, and was a coach in the BYDL (Berkshire Youth Development League) for many years. Played at a decent level in the Norrh East as younger man and a few years in the southern Isthmian league. I thought both teams were very poor at times, maybe nerves played a part, some shocking wayward comical passes at times. Sunday league pub misses from both teams. We grew into it though after nerves settled and credit is due to GS for his subs. Happy for Kane, although if he didnt get his goal he would not have started in the QFs. Grealish must start. Very happy chap this evening

I know this is the nature of social media and I actually disagree with red about his opinions on this England team but the tone of some of these replies feels a bit unpleasant to me.
Completely agree talk of coaching badges to validate an opinion and shout down others is truly pathetic. Boromart your hostile tone to anyone who disagrees with you is really churlish as well

he fluffed it because we had run the legs off him by that point, technique goes out the window when you are exhausted. Besides we scored 2

Big moments in huge games are going our way when regardless of other circumstances they usually don't.

A bit of luck is required to win tournaments along side quality. I hope those big moments keep going our way.

personally I think it's the harder I work and the harder I think

OK

Germany - I think everybody would agree that this is the worst Germany team that we have seen for many, many years and they should have been put to bed early on.

As is so often the case with England - they just cannot pass it out from the back. They can pass sideways, and backwards, and to the keeper, and hoof it forward, but they can't pass into midfield and go from there (like pretty much every other team can). Probably because in Rice and Phillips they don't have great passers of the ball, they're defensive midfielders, not Paul Scholes types. And when an England player did look for a forward pass, there was no movement and nobody to pass to. So it was pass backwards, or hoof it, or lose it.
The only time they got the ball forward was by intercepting or cashing in on bad play by Germany and their mistakes, rather than by creating something themselves. And very often, instead of taking a positive step forward from a breakup in play, they played safety first, and went backwards. Back to the goalkeeper, and another eventual hoof. It was painful to watch. Literally painful, after having watched so many other teams play so well during this tournament.

Now you go and tell me how that was such a good game. You must be easily pleased.
I was watching a different game.

still don't believe you, the county FA wouldn't allow it. Your insurance would be invalid.

Whatever I say you won't believe me, but the fact of the matter is I am right whether you believe me or not

FWIW it was our local ladies team, probably as low on the rung of the football ladder as you can go, but I ran the training sessions

(cue even more condescending comments, this time about it being a ladies team)

What are you on?
You do not need badges to run coaching sessions. A club at grass roots level have a duty of care to parents and kids, that the coaches are suitable. The club can then put them forwards for badges. Grass roots football would not exist if everybody had to have badges. However I am sure wokeness will change that.
