Engel has been superb tonight

I thought he was a busted flush after that Shef Wed game. An Alan Wright type performance (albeit against much worse opposition) and I never expected to see him again.

Huge cojones on the lad fair play for turning it round. Can see him becoming a cult hero like Franck was.

I think defensively he is superb got a real player as u say. Its actually good hes getting bedded into this league at full back. Will help him alot I think not having the pressure of being a centre back.

Hats off to Scott good find.

Reminds me of Pogatetz , what a change of fortunes , we have a player .
 
Honestly didn't think we'd really see him in a Boro shirt again, I know players can have bad games and bounce back but that Sheff Wed performance was something else.

His games against Cardiff and Sunderland were obviously much better and gave him a lot of confidence but I still thought he looked dodgy at times. These last 2 games though he has been close to flawless both going forward and defensively, he hasn't worried me for even a second defensively and as others have mentioned he looks like got a goal coming soon.

Hopefully Silvera makes it another huge comeback!

Wonder how much of an impact Carrick had on that. Sounds like he's got his head screwed on. Could've gone to a bigger club and never got a kick or spent the next few years being shipped out on loan.

Has taken the option to come somewhere he can fight for first team football and be settled. We play football in such a way that if he shines, the top clubs will come knocking in a couple of years looking at him for their first team. Meanwhile he'll possibly have 50-100 games under his belt.

Credit to the recruitment too for selling it to him. It's not a bad career move for an 18 year old if you pick the right club. Hopefully we turn out to be that for him.
 
One of his shots is going to find the net soon. Looks to have a thunderbolt in him. Can’t wait to see it
