Anybody think Crawleys place is under threat? He's been absolutely woeful this series.

Nasser made a good point on sky though, you can't just tell a batter to go out and play shots then drop him when he tries, but where do you draw the line.

Any names in mind for who could/would replace him?

NZ, as world champions, have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in all three tests. However they're not the aggressive, win at any cost, cheating Aussies and it's nice to see a fairly friendly atmosphere on the square that isn't present like with other snarling angry antipodeans.

Assume Burns will be the next taxi off the rank for another go. Compton making runs in the CCC but he isn’t a player that fits into the ethos of ‘BazBall’.

Bairstow's is one of England's most criticized players over the years. But wow, hasn't he answered any critics in these last two games.

Amazing then to think that my own player of the series would be someone else - Mitchell, who has lost every game!

It's got to be between him and Mitchell for player of the series.

Probably edge Bairstow for his heroics in the 2nd innings in the 2nd test match.

I'm probably doing an injustice to Root as well for not mentioning him.

He's been excellent again with the bat, but you just seem to expect that from him...he's that good.

Kiwis will be glad to see the back of Bairstow. Am at Edgbaston on Friday (v India) will be interesting to see if England's new approach works as well then.

England fans should complain
They didn't get their monies worth even though it was free
Only 15.2 overs!
