Emilia Romagna Grand Prix

Ah a Haas. OK. That's more like it! You can't seriously think Imola is a track you can overtake on? It really isn't. It's far too small and far too twisty. Even the DRS is zone is curved!
Yes a Haas which is actually quite a good car this year (considering they spent all of last year developing it). A Haas that not only out qualified both Mercedes on Friday afternoon but also comfortably beat both Mercedes during the sprint race on Saturday.

OK, You keep arguing that Imola is a track you can overtake on. That'll make you look knowledgable. It's actually quite amusing he hard the Hamilton haters work to denigrate him. It seems a lot of effort.

I am a Williams fan so don't follow any drivers other than the Williams drivers both past and present. George is doing well and Valteri is recovering after his mental battering against Lewis. Alex Albon has been a revelation so far in the current Williams incarnation and I personally think that for the second race in a row he has raced brilliantly. Hamilton however is not an ex Williams driver so I don't follow him and never have. But I think it's a bit harsh to say that I hate him.

Ah it jsut amuses me. On here and on Twitter and even all the sky sports pundits, they try so hard to bash Hamilton. it's actually stunning, the amount of effort that goes into trying to criticise one man. You're just a small part of what I have seen.

In this instance it was clearly all about the track
Explain the difference in positions between Russell and Hamilton? Something is going on with Hamilton, is his heart still in it after a slow start in a car that isn't dominant? Is Russell driving above his level to prove a point? The Mercedes is getting better as the times in practice showed, porpoising is obviously still an issue but other teams have managed with it.

Hang on a minute
Alex Albon in a Williams (slowest car on the grid allegedly) managed to overtake not only the GOAT but got Piere Gasly as well without the need of DRS to finish 11th in the race. Yuki (whatever his surname is) managed in the end to be flying along and overtook a few cars in the later stages of the race. Just like Leclerc was overtaking cars in the end after his crash into the barriers. George Russell started in 11th or was it 12th position and ended up 4th in a car that was just set up for the wet. So there must have been a few more overtakes than you are alluding too in the race and a lot of it was without DRS.
Didn't Albon get past Hamilton when he was slow getting out of the pits after being hit by a car that was released unsafely and Russell gained a load of places by being on the right side of the track when Ricciardo and Sainz tangled and slowed up the cars immediately behind them.

Yes. But this doesn't matter to some people. They see Hamilton have a bad race and invent a narrative from there.

As I've said, the effort that goes into hating Hamilton is phenomenal. It must be draining trying so hard to put down someone so successful

Sorry you see it that way but I still think it was good race.

Fair play to your man and his comments in the latest Beyond the grid podcast:

Alex Albon on Lewis Hamilton: “What the people don’t see is a driver’s value in developing the car. Someone like Lewis is unbelievable at feedback and pushing development. If you’re up at the front for that long, you’ll know how to push the team into the right direction.”

Looks like Him and George aren't playing the sky sports "dig at Lewis" game. That'll upset the Rosbergs and Restas! Good to see some English (half English) guys sticking up for him after Norris has been so sneaky
