I doubt Dwight Gayle would pass a medical as he needs a hip operation.
He really should be avoided.
He really should be avoided.
He scored those 23 goals at West Brom 2018-19. That is 4 seasons ago now.I'd say I'm in the minority but I was all for this signing to be honest. Proven pedigree at this level and managed 23 league goals two seasons ago at WBA.
He's had his injury problems yes but not every player deteriorates following injuries. If he can stay fit he will score goals at this level.
I just hope he doesn't end up going somewhere like Watford and scores a boatload and it comes back to haunt us.
Actually, our record of signing strikers with a pedigree for scoring goals at this level is decent. The problem is we turn them into donkeys.Frankly our record of signing strikers - permanent or loan- is little short of abysmal. To turn our noses up for a striker who has a pedigree of scoring goals - albeit not in most recent times - I hope we have a list of goal scoring strikers ready and willing to come. Somehow……
Neither of them had any pedigree for scoring goals in grown up football.Fletcher? Balogan? The list grows!
I have a feeling "Football Insider" has no inside info and it's just made up nonsense.According to Football Insider, Gibbo doesn't want to sign players over 30 and has blocked any deal to sign Gayle.
Have a feeling his wages had a say to
I'm sure if he was on a free and wanted £4k a week for 12 months, there would be very little concern with him being over 30.I have a feeling "Football Insider" has no inside info and it's just made up nonsense.
These websites look to dramatise stuff.I'm sure if he was on a free and wanted £4k a week for 12 months, there would be very little concern with him being over 30.
Spent most of the game on his **** than in the boxAfter last night we can see why it was blocked
That's just an age thing. Happens to the best of usForgot he was on the pitch.
