Dont bring me down - Bowie, from the Album Pin Ups 1973.
I think I bought it in late 1974. Originally 1963 by London Band The Pretty Things. Bowie changed it from the original Blues to a more rock sound.



I remember buying Pin Ups from WH Smiths in Stockton on Tees. Great album even though they are all covers, my favourite being the Easy Beats song Friday on my Mind.
Unable to keep the album in its carrier bag due to excitement :) I constantly read the back of the album and looked at the front at Bowie and Twiggy`s face on the bus home, something I always did looking back- I could never keep the album in its carrier bag.

I miss record shops. First thing I ever did on holiday was check out the local record shops, even though they were always much the same until HMV came along.

Where the hell have all these years gone FFS. I miss the people, the times and friends so much.
