Never understand why anyone from round here could possibly be a Man Utd 'fan' Does he have links to Manchester? Was he born there ?

.Scott isn't leaving. Matty Jones left and joined Sunderland staff.

I used to sit next to him when I had a season ticket in the north stand during the 04/05 season. Him and his ginger friend were a good laugh to be fair. Used to call my mate "with us" because he nearly fell asleep during one match and he asked him "Are you with us?". Weird that I remember that but there we go.

I'd say he's always been a massive Boro fan.

I have direct Twitter messages from last week him telling me he’s a man United fan but sort of becoming a Boro convert since reporting on us
