Do you have a foreign team you support/follow?

Many years ago, before I was born, an extended family member (my Great Aunt's partner) was their commercial manager. He'd worked previously for West Ham, Villa and other big clubs in a similar role so it was a very strange decision. But apparently he agreed to go there on the basis that he got a percentage of every bit of merchandise they sold. He then did very well for himself by introducing scratch cards and all sorts to their usual range of merchandise!
I know a few people from Buckie and lots of people up there follow Thistle. A percentage of merchandise is a good move!

Perth Glory to a small degree but im more interested in West Coast Eagles (Aussie rules) as i used to go and watch them as a kid.

I keep a general eye on the Brazilian leagues as i went to a fair few games over there a number of years ago, but don't really follow a specific team.

I use to work with a star player from Buckie Thistle. Or at least a retired star.
So did I. Fella called John Green who captained them back in the seventies. Apparently he gave Fergie a kick up the **** in a pre-season friendly.

Generally I steer clear of the likes of Real, Barca, Ajax, PSG, Bayern, Juve, the Milan clubs etc... It reminds me of overseas fans following Man U, Liverpool etc.

I'll admit I like Feyenoord, Marseilles and Dortmund, but those are really because I like their grounds.

I prefer to keep an eye on the more obscure: Holstein Kiel, Sud Tirol and RWDM, but I wouldn't say I follow any of them. I suppose Wellington Phoenix I do actively look up their results...

Cove Rangers. I went home and away when I lived there, before the days of being able to even listen to Boro games! We still have the engraved rosebowl the supporters club gave us when we moved away.

A few years ago i went to watch Dynamo Kyiv vs Arsenal Kyiv whilst we were there at a mates wedding. Since then I've kept an occasional eye on how they are doing.

Lech Poznań. Our lass is from there and although she can’t stand the game (quite happy about that really it makes it easier) I’ve had a few good days there with my brother-in-law.

Brilliant coincidence. I worked with Neil Davidson, who everyone calls Zico due to his football abilities.

I hope you worked in Altens if living in Cove! Aberdeen traffic before the bypass was a nightmare!

Used to be Barca in the Pep era because it was the best football ever and I bought into the "mes que un club" stuff. Now I realise what crap that is.

I admire Dortmund for how they go about things and the stadium and fans are amazing.

Ajax for how they develop youth.

Atleti because they are working class underdogs in Madrid.

Athletic Bilbao for their youth development and atmosphere in the stadium

AC Milan. If you haven’t been to San Siro then try and get there. Unbelievable. Go to bergamo too. Lovely place.

I don't. I get the feeling I'm quite unusual... I almost never watch any football at all .. unless it's a team I support, so essentially Boro and England. I must be some kind of masochist 🤣

My sister worked in Genoa in the late 80s and got me one of their tops so I’ve always followed them, got a few decent players at the moment too. Wife’s parents have got a piece of land near Angers so keep an eye out on them too. Never seem to be in a foreign country when there is football being played to catch a game.

I look out for the Philadelphia Union results since moving to the outskirts of Philadelphia a decade ago, but nothing more than that!

It was a rough one last year for the fans here... the Union lost in the MLS final to Gareth Bale's LAFC, and on the same night the Phillies lost to the Astro's in the word baseball series final. Fast forward a few months later, the Philadelphia Eagles lost in the Super Bowl! Being a boro fan I kind of expected all of that to work out like it did and took it in my stride :D
