If he played for spurs you get Devine rights to jump ahead of northern clubs ……..the World Cup is a bit soon and by the time the next one comes he could be back at forest……or forest green .
 
Lets hope we are nearly there....then we can forget about Spence and move on(y)

Report: Spurs ‘poised to finally land’ transfer target following Bergwijn sale​

The Daily Mirror have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur’s talks with Middlesbrough could be set for a ‘breakthrough’ after Steven Bergwijn officially completed a move to Ajax.

The negotiations between Spurs and Middlesbrough have been ongoing for several weeks, with seemingly no end in sight.

The Mail’s Sami Mokbel explained on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel a few days ago that Tottenham remain unwilling to meet Boro’s asking price of £20m.

Alasdair Gold subsequently stated on his YouTube channel that while Tottenham are hopeful they will get Spence, the deal is unlikely to be completed before the squad fly out to South Korea this evening.

However, The Mirror have now reported that Antonio Conte still wants the right-back to join his squad in South Korea for pre-season.

The report states that the 21-year-old, who is valued between £15m and £20m, is set to be Tottenham’s sixth signing of the summer.

It is suggested that following Bergwijn’s move to Ajax, Spurs are now ‘poised’ to finally conclude a deal for Spence.​
 
Seeing alot that spence hasnt played in the prem so is not worth even 15million. Plenty of ex brentford players were sold for around 20million and never played at the top level.

Same. Funnily enough I was just saying at work the other day I'm desperate for Chelsea to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, as they seem to have been linked with him in the BBC gossip almost every day, for every transfer window, for about 8 years. I'm bloody sick of seeing his name.

£12.5 can't see that, esp as Spurs have won nothing for ages.. so we would probably never see the other £7.5m..

£15m is a bargain & £5m worth of bonus payments, 25 games, euro comp qualification, non-relegation bonus, FA / League Cup quarter final.. international call up.. 20% sell on clause
 
I said this weeks ago on another Spence thread on here. We wanted 15, Spurs wanted 10.... We should have sold him for 12.5 at the beginning of these negotiations.

We've gained nothing but lost 2-3 weeks.
 
People posting as if a deal has been agreed, quoting the terms and suggesting that we have handled this badly.

I am sceptical of a lot that I am reading. Hopefully he goes soon for everyone’s best interests.
