Delay in Spence sale, has cost us pole position in the hunt for top striker target.

I’d make a public statement, the price to spurs is 20 million, if Forest, Arsenal or Bayern want him it’s 15. Conte will go ape sh1t if Levy messing around looses him a target.
Levy won't care about that, given previous history. If it is a cash issue, we could always adopt the approach of paying for any incoming targets over a couple of season. It's not ideal although plausible.

unless other clubs start making offers there is no rush for spurs to make a move until pre season starts. Reckon levy will fold and pay 20mill in 3 weeks time unless they have found another Right Wing Back

Spurs reluctance to meet Middlesbrough’s asking price has had an unwanted knock on effect for the Teessiders hunt for a new marksman. Chris Wilder has put a new goal ace as his top target and boro wanted their number one target at the club for the start of pre season training.

The European hot shot has several clubs across the continent chasing him but has let it be known that he would consider a move to the Championship giants. The move was to be funded by the windfall generated by the young wing backs departure to the capital. Notoriously hard negotiator Daniel Levy, is using Middlesbrough’s need for a quick sale as a bargaining ploy. Reports that Spence had failed a medical earlier in the week for traces of tobacco and a massive chip on his shoulder were wide of the mark.
Any names

He’s going to Spurs otherwise Forest wouldn’t have admitted defeat. Spurs are dragging it out though, but Spence will be on holiday so probably waiting until he gets back.

Yep agree, I mentioned this last week, I think Levy is playing a game, Spence been told to kick up a fuss at the Boro & push the club to want rid

The next week should be interesting with Spence having to report back at Hurworth, who clearly wont want to, his head will be elsewhere

Make him train with the youth team.

nothing has been simple with this lad, so it could end up tears for both sides. Judging by what's going on at Spurs the Spence deal could be dead as they're also looking at cheaper, more experienced and definitely more reliable wing-back options.

No one on here appears to know what is going on. Lot of people assumed it was a done deal.

I’m not sure all the negativity directed to the player is justified. He just doesn’t want to play for us, he will have an agent, family and friends calling him back to London.

It would be great if we could spend a fortune on a striker with the Spence transfer money but you don’t have to spend a fortune to get someone good enough.

We also need to move two strikers on, transfers never seem to be straight forward these days.

The abuse does seem a bit odd. No on on here really knows him do they?

It didn’t work out here, it happens. Ultimately he’s turned out to be a great investment for us so everyone’s a winner.

He still seems pretty popular with lots of the current squad so he can’t be that bad a person.
