Def signs of improvement

I don’t know what some fans want, they complain about paying to much to watch the match and then they complain about the quality of the players we sign. I wonder who they expect to subsidise their match day experience and who they also expect to pay for more costly signings. From what I have seen most of the new signings are showing real promise and I look forward to see how we develop as a team.

Wasn't going to feed the troll who demonstrates he knows nothing about football on a public forum, but I'll just point out that we're not bottom of the league, and Huddersfield are far from being the worst team in this league

We're three games in. With a side that is still bedding in. If its this way in 10 games time, I'd understand, but it won't be.
But we end up in this position almost every single season, over reliance on loans with high turnover of managers means we are completely unprepared for at least 1/5 of the season. And we just continue to make the same mistakes every year and expect things to change

It’s going to take time to bed in all news these new players, unfortunately.

It was an improvement but still very sloppy and slow to make decisions.

How am I showing I know nothing about football? Is it just a coincidence we have a slow start every year

Huddersfield are one of the worst sides we will face this season. If we don’t think a draw at home is a bad result we may be in for a long season

so what do you do about not being so reliant on loans? You pad the squad out with younger players with potential and bed them in so that over the course of the season they improve. If we dont get up this season there is not such a big rebuild next year. Unless we pad the squad out with experienced players who have reached their ceiling already and do the rebuild again next year. At some point we had to do what we have done in the summer. Better now whilst we have a coach that is on board, surely?

If that’s the route the club is finally taking after seeing many similar and smaller clubs overtake them over the last ten years then yes I am more than happy with that, slightly annoyed it’s taken this long to realise it’s the only way forward admittedly. But I would expect we will take a load of loans towards the end of this window then sack the manager and start again the second things get tough, like we do with every other manager

If we don’t and actually stick with this philosophy then waiting a few seasons while building a squad would be fine

Bizarre take but fair enough
Bizarre take from what you've just seen if you bothered. That was a vast improvement on what we've seen previously and I'm encouraged by what I saw. Huddersfield under warnock will always cause teams problems

It is puzzling why some need to sugar coat things.

We have 1 point and 1 point from 3 matches. It is all we have deserved.
The first half today saw better play than the other matches, but we didn't score.
The second half we were disappointing.

Huddersfield are one of the weakest teams in the league and were a perfect opponent for us today. We didn't deserve to win.

Engel, VDB and Rogers all did well and LL showed some promise.
Hackney is a talent and it was good to have Howson back alongside him.

But we are lacking the obvious quality we have lost at CF, 10 and wide left.
And we are still frail at the back.

I don't really rate McGree, but I can't believe he can't get in ahead of Silvera who looks out of his depth.

We are a long way off the performances and results of last spring.
We need quality to come in. What we have is not enough.

Warnocks Huddersfield are one of the favourites to go down, mainly because they are a very poor side. Forgive me for not wanting to celebrate a home draw with them.

Some people would have you think we just got a point away at Peps Man City

Huddersfield did have 16 goal attempts and at home to a bottom half team that needs to be halved. The good news was that we had 7 shots on goal up from 2 against Millwall and 2 at Coventry.

You have to say that was much better. It was entertaining we created chances. They scored a right spawny fluke of a goal. Some passes went astray and a lot of that was players not reading the pass or making the run. Also players (Sammy you should look away now) snatching at chances or hitting the ball too hard, it just has to cross the line not take the back of the net out. Watch the highlights if you can we could have easily had three but for some very good saves and some very poor misses.

But most of all we were pretty exciting to watch and I couldn't say that after the Coventry match. We're still a work in progress perhaps more players still to come in and definitely some hard work on the training ground.

If we dont sign 3 or 4 good first team starters we will be at the wrong end of the table for sure. We are pretty without being effective and look devoid of goals. We struggled to retain possession for long periods compared to last season where we making moves of 60 passes playing great football and recycling the ball. Howson and lenihan apart we must be the most un streetwise team in the division we look like an under21 team playing in the championship. For me we need to soildify the middle so i would go from a two to three with barlaser in there with howson and Hackney especially at a difficult away fixture like west brom next

Bar the lack of a win today the day was a success ... Rogers looks a natural in the midfield number 10 , Howson was the boss and the new number 9 had a decent debut ... hopefully a couple of top class loans and we will be on the up

Far too many whoppers screaming about not replacing Ramsey and Archer quick enough!

We only got them in January. We did better without them and they did nothing in the playoffs.

Silvera and Latte Laff are the real deal!

I thought Silvera was very good today obviously bar the misses. Needs to stay on his feet a bit more but he will trouble defences.

I think we were before kick off and possibly that's what he was talking about.
I am sure you get his point though without the need for the smart **** reply.
Its all about different opinions after all.

No he wasn’t good. Not at all.
He is a headless chicken.
He came from one of the worst national leagues in world football and was no great shakes there.

Rogers has obvious talent. Silvera hasn’t.
