Def signs of improvement

Have to take into account we’ve got no loans in yet. You’d expect 2-3 and expect them to add the stardust.

If Engel and Lath keep it up, one could argue that our squad (that we own) is in a better place than it was this time last year. Barring the huge miss that is Chuba of course. But I’m happy we’ve invested in a GK who’s a bit like Steffen, an actual left back whose attributes are meant to be a bit like Giles and a promising striker, all of whom we own. Frees up those loan spots.
 
Thought it was our best performance in ages, but that's not saying much and we were playing a really poor team.

Latte Lath looks like he has something about him if he sorts his first touch and actually tries shooting.
Silvera looks like he's trying too hard when he shoots, on another day he gets a brace, he just needs to work on his finishing.
Rogers looks like a different player at number 10, it's definitely where we should be playing him.
Engel was fine on his debut, and you can excuse him not getting forward much when Carrick admitted it was on his instruction.
 
I thought the performance was far superior to the first two games. We just need to click up front and get those chances put away. I was super impressed with Latte considering it was his first game at the club, he has settled in very quickly.

I have some optimism now for the rest of the season after all the departures. UTB.
 
Even if we didn't get loans in (we will) this side would do fine this season. It was the first game with Lath and Engel in and they need a bit of time to fit in with the team. Van Den Berg is playing out of position and we don't have a real right back in the side.

The football was solid enough and this game showed what a miss Jonny Howson has been. His energy and direct play in midfield is vital to how this team plays. We do need a long term replacement for him (Barlaser is a completely different kind of player) as I'm not sure how many more years he can play at this level. Although he clearly looks after himself so maybe he could do it for a couple more seasons!

I'm confident that we'll step it up another level next week and by the next game we'll have our loan players in. At that point we can start to assess how the season is going to go. You can't win or lose promotion in the first 3 games, so this panic is pretty rediculous.

Where does "worst side in the league" come from?

Huddersfield had the form of a playoff side once Warnock took over last season.

West Brom will be just as organised and awkward as Huddersfield why are they a team to be frightened off, also Leicester will come and play against Boro and won't put 10 men behind the ball which will allow us to play and see what we are really capable off!

I couldn't disagree more where on earth are the goals going to come from. That side would be towards the bottom of the table its far too inexperienced, silivera and rodgers wont get double figures and the risk of gambling on latte coming good is huge.Theres no goals in that team, its a mile off the side we had last season.

West Brom are a much better side than Huddersfield with much more quality, since corberan come in they’ve maintained play off form. There squad currently is stronger than ours
