Deadline Day Thread

Lets be honest, its been no surprise has it.
I really don’t know why we go through this charade every deadline day.

Seriously I would have just preferred it if the club had said this morning, nobody is coming in.

Blackburn have had a good day today. Elliot is a good loan signing too
As soon as it became know he was available to loan I would have driven him up from Liverpool myself. This lad will be the real deal and the next superstar.

Barnsley pay £1.2m for Herbie Kane from LFC
Harry Wilson on loan to Cardiff
Harvey Elliott on loan to Blackburn
3 deals I would have been happy for Boro to do .

I was reading on bbc this morning that Cardiff were paying something like £1.8m to loan Wilson for the rest of the season (can't remember the exact figure but it was well over 1m anyway). I think that sort of money for loan players is beyond us at the moment, either that or we've been put off these sort of deals after not getting value out of the likes of Hugill in the past (reported £2m loan fee).

I wouldn’t mind betting that Bauser has been self isolating and forgot to tell anybody.

The man couldn’t lace Keith Lambs boots when it comes to sealing a deal.
Anno times have changed and our purse strings are tighter but he really is a joke on deadline day.

We may have signed Bolasie

See that lad at Barnsley (Woodrow) signed a new contract.

Wow we've fallen fast haven't we. Having to look on as Blackburn, Forest, Wednesday, Cardiff & Derby zip past us.
Personally not too bothered.
It's been a yawn-fest for years now.
Bad decisions by previous Management have clearly sickened off Gibbo.
We're going to tread water for a year or two but it could be worse.
Feel sorry for the younger supporters mind - a year seems a lot longer when you're a teenager.

I agree that bits ive seen of him he looks to have a hell of a future and we know you wouldn't mind going to Liverpool Randy given your position on the government restrictions 🤣🤣🤣.

Decent night out. Well not at the moment but you know what I mean 👀

With you here, football when you’re a teenager is special. I was lucky to have been 9 when we signed Juninho, and probably my earliest Boro memories are from that period. The posters etc around the 97/98 cup finals, the League Cup win and Euro adventures. It was a great 12/13 years through my teens early 20’s, at a point when football was everything.

The last 12 years not so much, I’ve fallen out of love with football a lot during that time. Not sure whether it’s Boro’s decline or just life getting in the way, but I don’t think I’ll ever experience a period like that of excitement again.

When you read that Deeny is on £115k a week in the Championship you know football (as we knew it) is well and truly screwed up. Don't mind us taking a 'breather' for a year or two as Rome burns.

ZOHORE IN AT MILLWALL

Millwall have announced the signing of Kenneth Zohore on loan until January 16 from West Bromwich Albion.

OMG - that takes the biscuit.
Warnock on record as saying hw really wanted this guy.
What the hell is going on

Its difficult to say or know without knowing the ins and outs of players' demands. Millwall may be really stretching themselves financially with that deal and hence only til January. Maybe Warnock didn't want to sign someone on those terms, or whatever. Can't say I'll lose sleep over it though.

There have been clubs in this division with worse squads than ours (on paper) who've won the league title.

Zahore is on 50k a week...... Although that has no grounds as Bolasie is on 70k😕

We don't know anything about loan fees and percentage of wages to be paid. Also we probably have two forwards on over 50k between them. I doubt Millwall have.
