Darlo escape

Gotta feel sorry for the goalkeeper with that defence, don't think he could anything about any of the goals. Lovely backpass.

OG of the season right there. Frank Sinclair would approve.

Just watching those "highlights" it is clear there is no team spirit there, players jogging back, no marking, ineffectual challenges and a keeper who seems more intent on keeping his shirt clean and blaming everyone around him than actually trying to get his hands to the ball.

What.

a.

mess.

Lost 8-0 to Chorley last night, they're in a real mess.

The problem with that is crowds will be down to three figures and you cant keep a club in the black with little revenue hence why they needed their own ground

8 points adrift of safety too i see whilst their new local rivals Spennymoor look towards the opposite end of the table with South Shields. I dont think theyve played Pools since 2007?

Looks like Jonno Greening is having a stinker too but its a mad league with a 7th place finish getting you in the playoffs 2 or 3 wins on the bounce and you are right back in the mix

The fans want the new manager gone

Real shame that they have lost their way again in recent years, there was a point where it looked like they were on the up and for all they will never be the biggest club when they were doing well they were easily pulling 5-6K for matches at Fleethams

Crickey.
What a shambles.
Remember Darlo were always a destination if Boro were away and couldnt get a ticket or afford it. Feethams was a crackin place and so close to the players. Always a good atmosphere in the past , but never seen such a flippin mess in recent years.
I hope the club and the players get sorted out soon. (y)

A few familiar faces on that foto:

Scarborough overachieved last year and were quite fortunate to get out of the NPL a couple of seasons ago in my opinion but fair play to them, hopefully they aren't dragged into a relegation battle.

I watch South Shields quite regularly when the games don't clash with Boro. Arca is doing a great job so far this season, and the win at Spennymoor last night very impressive. They are playing a much better brand of football than under Phillips in NPL. They do have a big worry that the chairman wants to sell up. Crowds currently healthy though despite both Newcastle and Sunderland doing relatively well which is a good sign.
