Darlo escape

What has happened to them, bottom of the league, getting beat nearly every week and looking relegated already.
Is it ownership or management problems?

Darlo are fan owned, and as they rent Blackwell Meadows from the Rugby Club they don’t make a lot from bar, social club etc…as many non league clubs do. Struggle to compete with clubs with their own ground and investors. It’s a bit of a catch 22, without their own ground they can’t attract investment. Also many are reluctant to seek outside ownership given the past problems with Reynolds and Singh.

Darlington FC were happy for us to use Feethams in our hour of need. It was Durham Police that blocked it.
So much better things to do with £5m than b et old another stadium for a bunch of Man Utd fans. Sort out accommodation for those affected by domestic abuse, university fees paid for kids from underprivileged backgrounds.. save someone’s life every time Darlo play at more than adequate stadium that they rent!

I feel for them.
Covid also starved a lot of clubs of the lifeblood of support.
Basford United are in a similar boat. Before Covid they were in the Northern Premier League. They couldnt sustain players nor club and got relegated. Now they are in a monumental struggle to stave off further relegation.
A few quid from Forrest wouldnt go amiss.
Boro could do the same to help Darlo - an the Toon.
I wouldnt suggest any help from Sunlun - cus all their players are s____!
