I struggle to understand how he got away with playing in a Rotherham team that tended to be full of bruisers and shithousers.

One of the weakest footballers I’ve ever had the misfortune of watching play for us.
 
He has excellent attributes in terms of passing and vision if you ask me but constantly gets caught in possesion because he either thinks he has too much time
or just isn't quick enough mentallly to process he is about to lose possesion

So in a nutshell, he can often look a really good player inbetween looking like a liability which is why he will always be a hot and cold player and will
always have divided opinions

He won't improve , or at least i can't see it , he's the type who needs a hammer thrower beside him in midfield to do the dirty work and win the ball back all the time
he gives it away
