I am obsessed by the man who sold the world. I prefer Lulu's version to Nirvana's mainly because of the Sax, played by Bowie. Midge Ures is my favourite though.I was into nirvana before I was into Bowie. Didn’t realise man who sold the world wasn’t nirvana’s
It’s buffalo bills fight song after they score a touchdown.Shout by Lulu. I couldn't believe it when I found out Lulu heard Alex Harvey playing it first!
It’s actually an Isley Brothers song from 1959It’s buffalo bills fight song after they score a touchdown.
They’ve never heard the lulu version.
Half of the 1st couple of Led Zeppelin albums are "covers"So, listening to an excellent RockBlock on Planet Rock, they played ‘When the Levee Breaks’, by Led Zep. Not only one of my favourite Zep tracks, but one of my all time faves.
And it’s a cover.
I never knew.
Looking forward to discovering the original. Any others out there?

Tainted Love. Had long assumed it was a Soft Cell or whoever it was original song. Then I heard a version of it in a film trailer that sounded like an older song, lo and behold.
