There has only been the odd locally transmitted case over the last 8 days so things seem to be control. The only question mark is the Premier yesterday warned local officials not to under report . . . . or else. Then it is good news. Or at least not bad news. Which will do right now
This is a good news thread. No need for the misery. People are dying of many things at the moment.Tell that to those dying. Not much sogn of it weakening yet.
In Iceland the government tests about 100 people per day with symptoms and an external organisation measures about 1000 people a day with no symptoms. They are not finding asymptomatic infections. It is good news that it isn't spreading quickly, but there is very little infection there at the moment. The Iceland testing data gives hope

Everyone is asymptomatic before symptoms appear. There is no follow up to see if these people went on to show symptoms..
Woops. Got that wrong. Should have been 90%. But that's why longer lockdowns than two weeks will get us to a manageable situation. There were similar findings in the town in Italy which tested everyone. A total lockdown for two weeks reduced transmission by 99%. Sadly, as done on China, that is the only way forward.
QualityGreat gesture by Joe Wicks.
Not to be confused with John Wicks
