Coronavirus good news thread

That's an important point. It took me almost a week to realise I was getting a severe reaction. I initially thought it was just jet lag.
I guess partly in response to all the hype over the French test results, the French authorities are issuing warnings against self-medication.
On its website, the French Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics notes that both chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have a narrow margin of safety, meaning that effective doses and toxic doses are relatively close. That is why the experts contacted by FRANCE 24 warn against using them as self-medication to fight off COVID-19.

“Both the package leaflet for hydroxychloroquine and the guidelines issued by the [French] drugs watchdog detail the frequent side-effects associated with its use, such as deteriorating eyesight, nausea and digestive disorders,” said Besset. “More rarely – and far more dangerously – they can lead to heart failure.”

If China is recovering now then why don't they show reports of people starting to go back to work, people in shops, empty hospital beds and busy roads.
The media were in china at the start.
The media love to peddle doom, create panic, cause worry and make the situation worse. I think Laura kuensberg actually likes to report bad news only.
She is a disgrace to her profession, she is not alone but she has acted abhorently throughout brexit and covid.

the media are generally a nightmare. daily mail had an article yesterday about potential blackouts with a statement from National Grid saying that the system could cope without a problem

The Welsh first minister, Mark Drakeford, has invited the leaders of the two main opposition parties in Wales, the Tories and Plaid Cymru, to join its cabinet Covid group, which has been set up to tackle the crisis. Paul Davies and Adam Price have accepted the invitation.
At least someone is being a responsible adult.
