Corbyn

Corbyn would put it to a referendum, and let the people decide. He has form:(
You mean like how the tories are making a policy seeing how people react then changing it to look popular...
They're still protecting the rich and powerful, all in it together my fat ****....

It’s a difficult one as a healthy 71 year old is probably in less danger of catching it than a 68 year old in poor health and other underlying conditions.

That said it would make sense for Corbyn to follow government advice and offer whatever support he can to Johnson during this difficult time it would reflect better on him as an individual to say now is not the time for division but to work together and depoliticise the Coronavirus debate.

I don’t think he said he wouldn’t. When asked if he would self isolate he said he would decide at a later date.
The only interview I could find didn't even go that far. It was more a plea to consider the consequences about self-isolation on the elderly and he'd be meeting Johnson to discuss it later Monday evening.

At least the OP seems to acknowledge that he made it up. But HundredRoom seems to think it was in a news interview.

It could of been the interview that I saw wasn’t really taking notice of the interview. But I couldn’t remember him say he wouldn’t self isolate but remember him saying something about deciding/discussing at a later date when talking about self isolating

I think he was saying that he was going to talk to the PM to see if his concerns could be allayed. He seemed to be saying there should be more social distancing policies but rethink some aspects of the over 70s self-isolation.

Meanwhile I note that Tony Spratley himself wrote thusly in today’s Grauniad.
“What Matt Hancock is actually saying to the over-70s is that the Conservative Government has reduced the number of hospital beds by 17,000 and starved the NHS of funds and as you are no longer of any value to society you should isolate yourselves for four months.
If, due to your own selfishness, you fail to follow this directive and catch Covid-19 then you must suffer the consequences because ventilators will not be available for you.”
