Conspiracy theorists

Maybe we have to do away with the full 3 factors of the old one before the next one is in full swing.? .... thisis debatable.

Some would argue that fourth is already here. Internet of things for starters, you can buy a kettle now for example that you can control with your smart phone. Robotic Hoover's and lawnmowers. Drone deliveries. Pilot less fighter jets. Cars that can drive themselves. Robotic surgery.

The only one I believe is the Diana one, look at how she’s all but been airbrushed from history.

OBL you think he’s still alive really ?

It's weird that Lee Harvey Oswald was claiming to be a 'patsy' after he got caught. You'd think a lone gunman nutter would want the fame and glory after their shooting. And it's also weird that Jack Ruby runs up to shoot LHO and then dies himself in prison. TBH I think it's odd that anyone looks at the whole Kennedy assassination and thinks to themselves that there 100% was definitely nothing going on there that we don't already know about. The whole situation is bizarre.

Ruby did die in jail, but it was over 3 years since he'd killed Oswald. When he knew he was dying of cancer he stated that he alone had killed Oswald. Those people who knew him well dismissed any notion that he was part of a conspiracy, or acting on behalf of others because he was incompetent and couldn't keep confidences.

Of course the conspiracy theory people have built a big framework around Ruby, but once again the most obvious explanation is the most likely to be true, and that is that he acted alone, of his own volition.

I had not even heard of Qanon to a few weeks ago, but I keep coming across people of all types who buy into it, I think it's less a movement of the tin foil hat brigade but an indoctrinated highly emotionally charged movement who could be used to further the aims of the people behind Qanon. Worrying times.

Never known as many conspiracy theorists around social media etc as there currently are.
Friends and even a family member of mine are perpetually posting about how covid, banks, television news, vaccines, royalty etc are all forms of government control over the population.

Illuminati, Rothschilds, lizard people, David Icke. 🙄🥱🥱

And they all allude to the fact that they have this secret knowlege that sets them above 'the sheeple'.
Personally I don't really think I could spend my day desperately searching for any kind of clandestine and outrageous plots by real world Bond villains to control the populace.

Think I preferred it when it was just about the Apollo moon landings.
It's how stupid people feel enlightened. It's also largely misinformation spread to create discourse, from foreign actors and libertarians.

Here's a new one (at least to me)

"Fake Melania"

Allegation that Trump uses a "lookalike" Melania when the real one can't/won't toe the Family line

One giveaway is she's smiling in the presence of Trump...

Worth remembering that these ridiculous conspiracy theories have real consequences. Some of Alex Jones' stuff (Infowars) is disgusting particularly about Sandy Hook. Imagine being the parent of one of the murdered children and having someone suggest the whole thing was a hoax designed to bring in more restrictive gun policies, THEN having nutters track you down to abuse and threaten you.
Then there was 'Pizzagate' where someone burst into a Washington pizza restaurant with an assault rifle to release children being held by a paedophile ring in the basement. He shot through a door only to discover it had no basement.
To add insult to injury the people pushing this nonsense don't believe it half of it themselves they're just making money from it through social media, advertising, sponsorship....................... (see also Farage, Hopkins, et al .............. )
