Conservative Campaign HQ employees enjoying a law breaking Christmas party in December 2020

And just to redress the balance a bit, there are many Labour voters on here who are more than happy to question the party, vociferously slate Starmer and his policies and indeed have vowed not to vote Labour due to their shift away from the political left.

Have any Tories done similar?

All you get is a constant "must defend the party at any cost attitude " and whataboutery, desperately trying to deflect from the latest scandal. It's become more like a cult than a functioning democratic political party.

So if you are Tory, are defending them right until the end of their term, you are complicit in where this country has sunk to. And people are angry, very, very angry at all that has gone on in 13 years.....and especially the last 6-7. If people can't understand that.......🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

The thread title is a bit unnecessary though isn't it? People might be angry but the title takes the focus away from the individuals involved and suggests it is ALL tories who behaved badly. Which obviously isn't the case.

Also, any Conservative voters on here will feel they have to keep their head down or expect a barrage of criticism. Which isn't really fair. Unless of course that is what this board is now all about.

Will somebody think of the Tories??

What's almost the most shocking thing about that photo is the catering. Vast platters of canapes that you would think could only have come from an outside contractor. Did this company have a moment's hesitation, I wonder, during a lockdown, when presented with such a request? Probably not, right, but I bet they maxed out on the business loans and rates relief. I bet the staff making/delivering the smoked salmon roulade were on furlough too! Was everyone really 'at it'? Or did the rich and privileged, as usual, just presume the rules were for others?

What a good thread title & advert for here ........been here abt 25 yrs , how times have changed from cartman ,gillandi, fisch etc ,willo ,alb

sad days
Changed that for you fella. Apologies for not being able to live up to the FMTTM greats of days gone by.

Thread title changed because I respect your views.

WTF has that got to do with anything. I know you try to wind people up but that comment is crass.

I don’t like the vitriol that is often used in this board directed to people who vote conservative. However, anyone show dancing/partying and breaching pandemic rules should not be getting any form of recognition and is certainly not fit to be part of any government. It is quite sickening.
So anyone who has an alternative view or wants to point out something that doesn't fit the narrative on here is 'winding people up' ?
Oh well, I'm guilty as charged then 🤔

Who do you suggest the people of the NE should vote for if they are not going to vote for liars?

I have absolutely no idea mate, that’s what’s so ****ed about this whole thing.

The only reason to vote Labour now is they’re the only party likely to beat the Tories. And I’m still not sure whether I could stomach voting for Keir Starmer.

Yes you are a wind up merchant. Trying to draw an analogy between the unspecified behaviours of unspecified people in Middlesbrough with those actively seeking to get a person elected to the office of mayor in our capital is pathetic.

The fact that two of these people have been put up for honours which you don’t seem to care enough to comment on says it all.

I'm voting for my local MP. He's Labour. He does a good job. He's active in the community. His voting record is very good. He's stood on picket lines (not just for photo opportunities). Starmer being his boss.......🤢🤢

If your MP is a careerist, happy to do whatever the party tells them to do, it is indeed a sh*t sandwich. But that's where we are with UK politics 2023.

Muddled post, I hope the mist clears soon 👍

I have absolutely no idea who the Labour candidate for Hemlington is in all honesty!

Not doubting people died, but if risk is bad then , Why are the the people with all the knowledge and science not that bothered.

Not saying no risk and lockdown didn’t cut deaths but these people behaviours against own advice (official advice) is off to me. Just don’t sit right with normal behaviours

I also know of a case of somebody been hit by a bus who died, and another of somebody who had kidney failure.. both official deaths covid as time they died they had covid to.

Both would not of lived without COVID so why was death attributed to it?

The 230,000 is deaths where covid was a contributing factor, not people who happened to have covid but died of something else.

Wish the Met would explain why they weren't given fixed penalty notices, I'd have thought there was sufficient evidence in the stills nevermind the video
