Confidence vote to be held today from 6pm!

Ah, so today Boris will emerge triumphant and bash on all that he promised his voters.

So far he has delivered great success including, er, I suppose, maybe, absolutely, yep, NOTHING. We'll apart from a long list of f ups that apply to everything he touches.

Move one, he says. Let's see lardy boy try, just for entertainment value.
And he won’t produce anything because he is a renowned bullsh1tter that the naive continue to fall for. Listening to him sniffing away through the post vote response he kept saying “stuff” - a phrase to sum up the huge issues that are blighting the country. He hasn’t got a genuine bone in his body. He never has. He is a cardboard cutout of a man who has no genuine compassion for anybody but himself.

I keep hearing experts saying that Johnson is done and its just a matter of time. If that's the case how do you see things playing out?

He will probably have offered ministerial roles for votes, hence the reshuffle.

wouldnt be at all shocked to see some new posts being created. Be a few "traitors" or suspected ones sacked too (if they don't resign).

Just joining in this thread, haven't read it all
But Quelle Surprise!!

Maybe the best result for long term change, tbf
However, the dirty rat will take this opportunity to fk our country up for another two years, to further the opportunities for his cronies.
Sad really, but the mass majority of this country has supported him and his team - and they (and us!) will get what they reap
I think we should remember 55% of the electorate, even in the Brexit skewed 2019 election, did not vote for Johnson, it was not a mass majority.

The trouble is the so called experts are treating Boris the same as the other leaders that have gone down this route. Regardless of your politics Thatcher, May and Major had the Conservative Party’s best interests at heart, Boris doesn’t and he will stay till the bitter end, which is why this result is a great result for Labour but does mean more turmoil for the country in the short term.

Yeah I've heard one was already planned regardless of what happened. For some reason the phrase "reshuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic" springs to mind.

Much like when he "reorganised number 10" to show he'd "taken the party gate criticism seriously" he'll say it's to show he's listening to the concerns of his backbenchers. I suspect the MPs who'll fall for that BS already back him. Doubt it'll be much of one anyway. Same names in slightly different jobs.
Reshuffle ?- i think you mean a quick stir of the turds.

Not sure if this has already been posted so apologies if it has

Simon Clarke, Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland: 'I will be voting confidence in our Prime Minister Boris Johnson.'

Jacob Young, Redcar: 'Boris has my full confidence.'.

Peter Gibson, Darlington: 'Boris Johnson retains my confidence as our PM and as a champion for the North East'.

Jill Mortimer, Hartlepool: 'Hartlepool voted overwhelmingly for Brexit and Boris got it done.'

Matt Vickers, Stockton South: 'The Prime Minister backs Teesside and I’m backing him.'

Full list of MP's who voted for Boris here

Not reading the room are they, the public confidence is through the floor with him, most if not all will lose their seats if they retain this line

I was surprised that Kevin Hollinrake backed Johnson after his Government tried to move thousands of immigrants to his constituency. Just shows they have no backbone whatsoever!

Be an interesting few days, I can see a reshuffle coming!
The Idiot Johnson will soon announce that the 'resettlement center' is going to be built on Teesworks (Think Guantanamo bay), then Houchen and Young will be extoling this amazing prime minister and the fantastic investment coming to the area.

"Teesworks is already attracting new tourism"

But they're not there to represent their constituents, they're there to make the most of their luck in getting voted in on the back of the Brexit wave before they get sussed out at the next GE. They back Johnson because they model themselves on him. Empty vessels make the most noise.

I think now that they know the true feeling within the party that you will see those competitors start to come to the fore and show their hand a little more.
I think if it happened early in the year before Rishi became a pariah it may have lead to a proper challenge this time. He must be really annoyed he saved £200 odd million in tax for his Mrs with her non-dom status whilst trying to become a US citizen and we found out.............

The key no to watch are the abstentions as this is the true feeling of the party if that number is high then it shows the inner rift.

Not one abstention with is incredible really and shows the deep feelings they have on
This issue.

People talk about decent reasoned Tory MPs coming to the fore but don’t forget the pledge as in order to stand as a Tory at the last election EVERY Tory candidate had to sign this pledge on brexit.

That’s why we see the cabal of sycophants and blundering amateurs we have now.

Not to mention regretting that glass of orange juice 😂
