Interesting. From the media coverage this morning I'm not sure Johnson will easily win this.
The whips will be being briefed right now.
There'll be political careers on the line today if they don't obey Operation Big Dog.
HopefullyAnd there will be careers on the line if they do!
They’ve backed themselves into a corner all of their own making and whatever happens, some of these b***ds will soon be out of the politics game at any meaningful level, for good
Same careers on the line if they do too. Short term career v long term career I guess: which do you pick? The whips will be being briefed right now.

I think this is the big miss step the Tories have done. They got arrogant with their majority and relaxed in the fact the country isn't really very political. The amount of corruption and the partygate scandal and the cost of living crisis is making everyone want to take action. Not just politically motivated peopleI'm not a big fan of any political party and never have been but I've just emailed my Tory MP to urge him to do the right thing for the country, first time I have ever been that bothered in 40 odd years of being able to vote.
He'll win the vote today but it depends by how much. If he stays in power another big moment will be the Wakefield by-election. The pressure might be too much by then.
Remember 173 Tory MP's are on the Gov payroll... they will all be voting for him or they will lose their wages!!
It's an anonymous vote the whip will have little effectThe whips will be being briefed right now.
