yup, nightmare for him, but personally I think he is just too weak defensively. He had a bad body position a number of times before he finally messed up with a square body and not watching the runner behind. That was TAA in a nutshell, great cross on him, but poor defensively and he would get caught out against a decent team. Much prefer walker or Trippier there.

not for me, his form is over stated. Did well for two months, but he did nothing the last 6 games and games just passed him by again. He had a couple of minor moments tonight but didn't do anything to make me think he has to be in.

I donā€™t think itā€™s over stated, think heā€™s a willing runner and is versatile, he isnā€™t just a no 10 as you said earlier, he can play anywhere accross the front or 10 or even in a midfield 3 and he is quick and direct and full of running. Either him or Ben White to come in for me.
 
Lingard for me tooā€¦ just seems an ā€œin formā€ wildcard option who is proven in an England shirt.

Iā€™m surprised we are playing two friendlies in the space of a few days. A lot of players looked lethargic and tired to me tonight..

he 'can' play any of those positions but 10 is his primary role, he does his best work arriving late in the box centrally. He can time those runs like David Platt used to, but he isn't strong defensively or tactically I wouldn't play him in a midfield 3. I would think we have enough players that can play across all those roles I'd prefer a 3rd CF

Not much to impress tonight, but it's how you finish tournaments that matters.

I console myself with the thought that Portugal didn't win a group match in Euro 2016 but still won the tournament.
 
Not a great game but kind of what I expected.

these games are often like that. Players probably kind of in limbo, wanting to impress but also trying to get through games without injury so close to a tournament.

Was this in the east upper, towards the screen? Pretty sure I was next to them as well, they were doing my head in. Think they got moved because they werenā€™t in their seats. They kept shouting ā€˜scouse c*ntā€™ every time Trent had the ball. Absolute doyles and the epitome of why England fans are hated across Europe.

Yes me too and yes they were moved about 20 mins in and they were booing loudly
