CNN calls it Biden elected 46th President

The shedded wheat haired bafoon has not conceeded defeat yet, has he? I would not be surprised if he does his best to raise up a civil war among his wannabe Rambo followers with thier fake army clothing but very real guns. I fear that this is not going to end nicely.

And there is the legal challeneges to the election results too.

Perhaps he would be pursuaded to go quietly in exchange for dropping the impeachement etc?

So how long before the narcissistic psychopath tries to pardon himself against any future investigations?

Thank god he's gone, but the damage he's caused to the country and those who he saw as threats has been huge.
 
Can see Trump pardoning everyone who's conviction will bring scrutiny on himself, then giving up the Presidency to Pence so Pence can then pardon Trump with an added bonus of not having to be "humiliated" at Bidan's inauguration.

He isn't, but American media is ridiculous. Even more so than our own.
 
Think the Yanks need to temper their pleasure at this. Trump was awful, of that their is no doubt, but Biden isn't some knight in shining armour. He's been in government 45 years, he's voted for policies that disenfranchised voters for years that lead, partially, to Trump being elected in the first place. He has his own skeletons in his closet with regard to inappropriate behaviour too.

The best thing that could happen right now, is that Biden stands down in 6 months and Harris takes over the presidency, that would be a first for real change in the US. With Biden, expect more of the same from 2015 and before.

I don't think any of us on here are under any illusions about Biden. He may well prove to be be a rotten president but whatever else he may be, he's not a racist, bigoted oaf who gets off on cheap insults. The way our leaders behave and the things they say set the tone for what is acceptable in wider society. You must surely have seen this from the way that people from overseas are openly spoken of here in recent years.

Don’t deny them their celebrations. They have only just won FFS.

Tomorrow they can start to focus on what needs to be done but in the meantime despite Trump acting like a complete pr*ck let them show their joyous relief for the moment.

I have seen this, you'd have to be blind not to. What I am saying is that Biden may, to use your example, make people nicer to each other, but he's not some wizard who is going to wipe out homelessness, cancel the national debt, provide free healthcare to all etc. From some of the interviews with US citizens, you'd think it was the second coming. They need to temper their expectations.
