Clarkson sacked by Amazon

But his current shows are still be aired though that’s the point so not sacked yet.
You're playing with minutiae. He has been chucked off the gravy train.

I used to love CMH on Top Gear but long before he got the heave-ho from the Beeb it had passed its peak. Watched a couple of the Grand Tour things and they were pretty poor too. I don't think that Amazon found them to be the big draw that they hoped and the budgets were pretty obviously cut back. The farm thing is, I understand, largely funny for the young lad who knows how to run a farm laughing at Clarkson? I would be surprised if he gets another series of Millionaire with ITV I don't think he's really pulled many extra in to watch that either? He's not going to starve but like many other "slebs" he has run out of things to say. The piece in the paper was just appalling poor taste and even ignoring the GoT thing as an attempt at humour comparing MM to Rose West and also insulting Nicola Sturgeon was at very best massively misjudged.

Just go Clarkson. Count your millions you'll be fine.

That's a bummer. Love Grand tour and Clarksons farm was superb. Walking dead has finished.
We have had free Amazon for 3 months and were going to let it carry on. .Don't think I will bother now.

Grand tour was ok but it’s never going to be top gear.

Clarksons farm was genuinely fantastic the first series as he didn’t have the first clue… the vote will be out on if that can continue for the second or if it will be more scripted slapstick Like GT.

On a separate note I think it’s harsh to drop him. What he said was clearly in jest and he apologised immediately once he realised he had actually caused offence.

We all make errors of judgement sometimes when it comes to humour

Not only has Meghan not contributed anything to the world of entertainment, she is now ensuring that one of the country's few talented presenters will never work again.

Thanks, Meg.

Harry and Meghan signed a multi-year deal with Netflix. Not a chance Clarkson ends up on there.
Netflix would love to have both sides arguing and making money from both. They wouldn't be the first company to profit from controversy they've created themselves.

Not going to be a popular opinion I guess but I think he's great - laugh with him, laugh at him, and laugh at him laughing at himself. Anybody who thinks he's serious with the comments he comes out with needs to chill. Like it or not, he's also a very good journalist

Going against my latter about about him being serious though, I understand that his Clarkson's Farm series is very well thought of in terms of highlighting the problems faced in Farming in the UK now - the quote I saw said something along the lines of he's has done more for understanding the reality of farming in 8 x 1 hour programmes than the anodyne Country File on BBC1 has done in 20 years ...... and yes, the star of that show is undoubtedly Caleb ripping the pi55 out of Clarkson's efforts at being a Farmer

My wife watched clarksons farm and the harry and meghan docudrama. I haven't seen either, so don't be judging me. Though I did like top gear so maybe I deserve all I get

You can’t forget cheerful Charlie!

not a fan of Clarkson I don't like grand tour or top gear but I thought he was actually very good on millionaire with both the public and celebs very amiable and personable. That said there's no comeback from his comments on meg apology or not. I am quite amazed they passed editorial control even at the sun.

I'm with you on this, I'm not a lover of cars and never watched Top Gear or any of the other car programmes. I thought he delivered Who wants to be a millionaire well and soon put the contestants at ease but I just can't take to him.

The best thing I have seen him in is the documentaries The Greatest Raid (Operation Chariot) and The Victoria Cross: For Valour. He presented these well.
